SUMMER 2026

Welcome to the latest issue of Design Matters.

If you’re anything like us, you’ll feel this year has gone by in an absolute flash!

It’s been a whirlwind of new and ongoing projects, several fabulous photo shoots, a host of glamorous parties and events allowing us a chance to let our hair down with our talented community, as well as celebrating industry recognition with places in not one, but two highly regarded lists of the best interior designers - House & Garden HG101 and Country & Townhouse 50 Finest. We’ve completed a range of project installations including a characterful Oast house in Sussex, a cosy party barn in Buckinghamshire, and a country house in Hampshire, so that our clients can enjoy family time and social gatherings on balmy Summer evenings. We’ve also been making some exciting design additions to a Victorian Terrace house in West London which we can’t wait to share with you in the coming months.

In some exciting endeavours this Autumn, we will be travelling across the pond to Southport, Conneticut USA to take part in interior design show “Rooms With a View”, where we will be creating an enchanting garden room ‘vignette’ whilst flying the flag for British interior design as one of a select few UK based designers also taking part.  Closer to home (well, inside our own home as it happens) we will be unveiling something very special indeed.

Now - not that there’s much of a chance to take our foot off the gas - we are more than ready for a slightly slower pace and a much-needed holiday.

CELEBRATING OUR SUCCESS

As a relatively small studio, for our work to be recognised by the influential magazines and design aficionados that inspire us means so much and we are immensely proud to have been included as one of the House & Garden Magazine HG101 Interior Designers, and Country & Townhouse Magazine’s 50 Finest Interior Designers once again this year.

LATEST WORK

ART LOVER’S HOUSE - SOUTHWEST LONDON

We designed the key spaces of this villa-style family home in Southwest London to update the interiors without undertaking any major structural changes, removing the dated 2010s grey palette and bringing energy and personality back into the home. The inspiration came from 1970s James Bond films with schemes featuring bold colour, texture and a sense of fun. During the strip-out we uncovered original marble fireplaces beneath old paint, including beautifully preserved register-grate tiles. Key design moments include a Perspex baby grand piano, lacquered ceilings in orange and emerald-green cork, velvet-padded walling and timber-veneered panelling. Sourcing materials that suited the brief then blending with vintage pieces leaves the rooms feeling satisfyingly layered and lived-in rather than seeming too new.

DESIGN CENTRE CHELSEA HARBOUR

THIRD FLOOR DESIGN CENTRE EAST POP-UP INSTALLATION

In a scheme reminiscent of the 1960’s ad agency aesthetic as portrayed in the Mad Men television series, we recently designed a pop-up space to champion the showrooms on the Third Floor at Design Centre East Chelsea Harbour. A range of mellow hues were cleverly combined to create this effortlessly harmonious vignette featuring; -  Hector Finch Lighting (celing light, wall lights, table lamps), George Spencer Designs (curtain & upholstery fabric and wallpaper), Sacco Carpets (rug), Karndean Design (flooring), Ca’ Pietra Artisans (tiles), Box Galleries (art), Oficina Inglesa (Argentinian stand), as well as Ben Whistler Furniture (sofa & armchair), Tom Faulkner (coffee table) and Edward Bulmer Paint, with curtains expertly made by Daniel James.
