Welcome to the Winter issue of Design Matters.

In an exciting new chapter for Henry Prideaux Interior Design, we recently relocated to smart new premises in Twickenham with a refurbished interior complete with soft pink walls, custom fitted joinery, and freshly painted façade finished in our signature damson hue.

Also, whilst live projects naturally take priority, capturing the design detail of each house we’ve designed, with professional photography, allows us to showcase our work, and following a recent shoot, we share our latest finished project - a Characterful Townhouse in London’s Chelsea.

To add to this year’s triumphs, we are thrilled to have been crowned the winner of ‘Dream Bathroom’ in the Homes & Gardens Design Awards 2024 with the Bathroom and Adjoining Dressing room at our Southwest London project.

INTRODUCING OUR NEW STUDIO

Situated at 57 Church Street near the river in the heart of Twickenham, our new studio has had an extensive overhaul, providing a generous workspace & sample library, a seating and display area, elegant shop front with hand-painted signage, and windows dressed with half-height cafe curtains. Having an independent studio and showroom with a physical ‘shop front’ marks an important milestone for us as a small design practice, and it feels like a huge achievement to have the company name above the door.

CHARACTERFUL CHELSEA TOWNHOUSE

We designed this Chelsea Townhouse to become a relaxed London home-from-home for our clients, an Anglo-American family with two young children, to use when visiting and working in the UK. Decorated within a sophisticated scheme and designed to cater specifically to busy family life, home working, and occasional entertaining, the previously neutral finish exudes style, colour, and texture, creating a more welcoming space.

HOMES & GARDENS DESIGN AWARD WINNER

HP SOURCE & DESIGN NEW STOCK

A pair of Mid-Century Parker Knoll occasional chairs have been imaginatively remodelled, lovingly restored, and beautifully reupholstered by hand, including new padded seat cushion and a gathered skirt, using a delicate Essentials Cotton Chintz by Jean Monro, with a Renishaw linen by Marvic Textiles used on the back. The chairs are available now and can be sold individually or as a pair.
